The Loneliest Girl in the Universe
Book cover redesign for Laura James' novel The Loneliest Girl in the Universe. The daughter of two astronauts, Romy Silvers is no stranger to life in space. But she never knew how isolating the universe could be until her parents' tragic deaths left her alone on the Infinity, a spaceship speeding away from Earth.
During a workshop course at the University of the Arts, I had the honor of working with Art Director, David Curtis to create reimagined covers for some of his published illustrations. We were taught the process of how to illustrate for a novel as a professional and learned a great deal about type and standards for book covers. We played out our hypothetical roles as hired illustrators and successfully illustrated a new book cover.
